GEO and AEO
The GEO agency that lifts your AI visibility and your sales
We structure your presence so the major generative engines cite you as a source: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and the rest. A technical audit first, then the fixes that bring better qualified leads.

Three layers, one system
GEO and AEO: organic search is still the foundation
Everything starts with classic search. When an AI model searches the web, it queries a search engine and cites what it finds there: Bing for Copilot, Google for Gemini, Brave for Claude, and for ChatGPT its own index, topped up with Google results fetched by subcontractors (companies under contract to OpenAI). For an AI to cite your content, the site has to be indexed in those engines, structured and fast. Google still sends about 345 times more traffic than ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity combined (Ahrefs, 2025). We work the three layers together to bring your cost of acquisition down.
SEO, the foundation
Indexing, technical performance, relevance and authority. That is the price of entry. Without a healthy SEO base, the rest has no room to sell.
AEO, being the answer
Answer Engine Optimization covers featured snippets, answer boxes, FAQs and voice search. We structure your content so it answers the buyer's question immediately.
GEO, being the source that gets cited
Generative Engine Optimization sets out to make you the source cited in generated answers: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and the rest. We work on how your brand appears inside the answer itself, beyond the results page.
What sits behind it
Which search engine feeds which AI
An assistant does not roam the web while it is talking to you. It sends your question to a search engine, reads the pages it is shown, and cites those. Knowing which search engine each assistant uses tells you exactly where your site has to be indexed.
Its own index, topped up with Google results fetched by subcontractors (companies under contract). Bing's share is small
Let the OAI-SearchBot crawler through, and do not let Google slip. Which search engine ChatGPT uses, and why it is no longer Bing
Bing's index
What Bing indexes well comes straight back in Copilot's answers.
Google's index
Classic Google search, directly.
Brave Search
An index almost nobody watches, and it decides what you look like inside Claude. Claude searches in Brave: what that changes about getting cited
Sources: Anthropic's public list of subcontractors (companies contracted to provide an index), where Brave Search has appeared since March 2025; OpenAI's documentation on its crawlers; sworn testimony from the head of ChatGPT, May 2025; a reading of 1,249 ChatGPT answers by the agency Resoneo, August 2026; Google's “Grounding with Google Search” documentation; Microsoft, on the role of Bing's index in its answers, May 2026. Data verified on 6 September 2026.
Brave Search is the least known of the four engines. It belongs to the maker of the Brave browser. It builds its own index of the web rather than using Google's or Bing's, and it decides what Claude sees of your company.
None of these indexes can be worked with writing tricks. That is why an AI visibility engagement starts with search.
Our approach
A road map for GEO that holds up
GEO is where SEO leads. We have been structuring content for AI since 2023. We have run GEO and AEO engagements on sites of every size, complex catalogues and heavily technical environments included. It is work we do every week.
Senior experts. The two partners run the engagements. You talk straight to the people doing the work.
The data side stays in house. Analysis, profitability measurement and optimization are part of the execution. We do them in house, with heavy use of AI and a partner who checks and signs off.
Tied to sales. We know the technical work, and we go further: every optimization is tied to a precise business goal, B2B leads or eCommerce sales.
A boutique agency on purpose. We take at most sixteen growth engagements at a time, one client per industry. That exclusivity is what guarantees the level of follow-up.
First step
Where are you losing leads today?
Before any optimization, we establish where your brand sits along that search path. The GEO audit is a deliverable for a management team that wants to decide with numbers.
It is an honest starting point. At the end you know exactly what to fix, and what fixing it can bring back in sales.
Book a call to talk about your auditWhat the audit reveals
Where your brand shows up, or fails to, in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and AI Overviews, on the queries where buying intent is high.
The technical state of your site for AI crawlers: readability, heading structure, structured data, the llms.txt file, rendering, speed.
Your real share of voice against your competitors inside the generated answers.
A prioritized, costed action plan tied to your sales goals, ready to put in front of your leadership.
The work
Five fronts that make you the answer, and bring in leads
AI engines read your site differently from a human. They weigh its readability, the consistency of your entities, the reliability of your sources and the clarity of your answers. We act on each of those signals.
Readable to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and the other engines
An llms.txt file, rendering and strict markup: we make sure the AI reads your catalogue or your services correctly.
eCommerce and B2B markup
We structure your data so the AI understands your prices, your stock and your expertise without ambiguity.
Content that answers first
Clear answers the AI can lift and cite to your leads at the moment they are ready to contact you.
Authority
Mentions, third-party sources, brand consistency across the web. Models cite content that is credible and well sourced first. A study from Princeton and Georgia Tech (the GEO study, KDD 2024) measured that adding figures and citations from reliable sources can raise visibility in AI answers by up to 40%. We reinforce your credibility on your site and beyond it.
Measurement and AI share of voice
We track citations, mentions and your share of the market with specialized tools, and we tie every action to closed sales or to revenue.
Five signals, one goal: being the answer the AI chooses to recommend to the buyer.

How we measure, spelled out
Generative search is recent. Today the industry cannot yet attribute a precise sale to an AI answer with full reliability. We measure what can be measured and we show it to you plainly. What each measurement tool sees, and what none of them sees, is set out in our comparison of the tools.
All of that tracking we do in house. It is what lets us adjust quickly when a model moves, and stay honest about what the revenue figures actually say.
Which queries we track. A list of twenty to forty queries with high buying intent, chosen with you at the start and frozen for the length of the engagement. A list that changes along the way no longer measures anything real.
How often. Every month, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Google's overviews. It is a sample measurement rather than a rank: a generated answer varies from one session to the next, and an exact position in GEO does not exist.
What you receive, and in what form. A written reading: for each question, who is cited, in what terms, and what has moved since the month before. Plus the Google overviews you appear in, with the screenshot.
Traffic. Referral traffic coming from AI tools, and how well it turns into leads.
Sales. Your closed sales, tracked alongside in the CRM, knowing that direct attribution to a first AI touch is not yet an exact science.

Who it is for
For companies with a real growth problem
GEO changes little from one market to another: a generative engine weighs the same readability and the same credibility whether your site serves Montreal, Paris or an international market. We work with companies in Quebec, in France, in Switzerland and elsewhere.
eCommerce and large catalogues.
Technically complex sites.
B2B with a long sales cycle, where one bad citation costs highly profitable sales.
Companies that want to be present where their customers decide, not only where they click.

Frequently asked questions about GEO
What is GEO?
GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, is the optimization of your visibility inside AI-generated answers. In practice, we structure your site and your content so ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and AI Overviews cite you as a reliable source and bring in qualified leads.
What is the difference between GEO, AEO and SEO?
SEO places you in the classic list of results. AEO makes you appear as the direct answer, in a featured snippet or through voice search. GEO gets you cited as a source inside an AI-generated answer. All three rest on the same technical foundations and are worked together, for your sales.
Does GEO replace SEO?
No. SEO is still the price of entry for profitability. For an AI to cite your content, it first has to be indexed and readable. Google still sends about 345 times more traffic than ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity combined (Ahrefs, 2025). We build GEO on a healthy SEO base. The AI search numbers, taken one by one with their source.
How does a company become a source ChatGPT cites?
By combining a clear answer at the top of the content, verifiable business data, a logical structure and a credible presence beyond your own site. No magic prompt guarantees a citation. It is expert work on content, on the technical side and on authority. The logic is the same for Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek and the rest.
How long before it shows in sales?
The first technical and readability gains come quickly. Share of voice and citations build over a few months, because they also depend on external signals. We give you a baseline of leads at the audit, then we measure how your sales move.
What does a GEO engagement cost?
Everything starts with the audit, a paid deliverable. For the ongoing engagement, the rate depends on the size of the site, the number of pages to restructure and how competitive the ambition is. We always put a clear price in front of you on the call.
Does it work for eCommerce and large catalogues?
Yes, and it is one of the grounds where our work pays most. eCommerce traffic coming from AI now converts better than traditional traffic (Adobe Analytics), and most catalogues stay half invisible to the models. We handle the technical complexity of large catalogues at scale. What that traffic is really worth in online retail.
Do you work outside Quebec?
Yes. We work with companies in Quebec, in France, in Switzerland and internationally. The technical principles of GEO are the same whatever the market. Adapting the content to the language of the market you are after stays a separate decision.

SEO and GEO: what really differs between the two
Google writes that it is the same work. What actually differs comes down to three points, and only one justifies a separate budget line.
