Areas of practice
The work streams that generate sales at high volume
An engagement runs a few of them at a time. The list shows you what pays, and it lets us agree on what we prioritize in the first quarter.
The heart of the engagement
Page optimization, aimed at your sales
Collections: your real sales pages
A buyer searches for a category rather than a model number (“men's winter boots” rather than “Model X-200”). We turn your product grids into landing pages that sell, where most stores have nothing but an automatically generated title.
What we work on there: the title and meta description that win attention, a short introduction that answers the question, content below the grid for conversion, the default sort order, links to the sub-collections and the facets we decide to open as lead generators.
Product pages, across the whole catalogue
The products that generate the most margin deserve custom work. We optimize those pages one by one, with a clear goal: answer searches better and convert more. For the rest of the catalogue, AI lets us produce the content from your real product attributes, then a senior expert checks every batch before it goes live. You get a complete catalogue, worked from the bestsellers all the way to the long-tail products.
What we work on there: titles built on buying vocabulary, a complete specification table readable by machines, answers to buying objections (CRO), customer reviews, Product and Offer structured data, lighter images and strict handling of withdrawn products.
The content that helps close the order
Buying guides, comparisons and compatibility tables capture the customer before the final purchase, and they are also the content the AI engines cite most readily (GEO).
The business rule we apply: every piece of editorial content exists to send readers to a profitable collection or product. That criterion decides its place in the eCommerce engagement.
GEO and AEO
GEO: when the buyer asks ChatGPT what to buy
The B2B or B2C buyer now asks the AI engines. If your price, compatibility and delivery data are poorly structured, the sale goes elsewhere. The AI recommends three or four merchants. Being among them is technical work that differs from classic SEO ranking, even though it concerns the same pages.
Answer before arguing. Price, availability, delivery time, return policy, compatibility: the facts in plain sight, in one place, in a format a machine can extract to reach a recommendation.
Complete structured data. Complete markup is what lets a model recommend you (GEO) rather than a competitor that declared everything.
Comparative content that takes a position. Models pick up what settles a question. A product page that also names a product's limits inspires trust and serves conversion.
Consistency beyond the site. Your specifications and prices have to match what the marketplaces say. A contradiction costs you the AI recommendation.
Tracking your visibility in AI. We follow the important queries of your market in the main AI engines and assistants to see how your brand, your products and your categories are represented. We measure in particular your presence in the answers, the products and competitors cited, the queries covered and how that visibility moves over time. Where the data allows it, we compare that movement with your traffic and your conversions, to tie visibility in AI to business results.
The technical base
So that this work turns into sales
The technical work is the condition without which page optimization does not turn into sales.
Crawl budget and facets
On a large catalogue, combined filters create millions of useless URLs, and Google gets lost in them. We analyze the server logs, see where the crawlers really go, then decide facet by facet: a page we stand behind, a canonical or a closed door. The result: Google finds your profitable products faster.
Speed and rendering
Core Web Vitals on mobile, heavy images, dependence on JavaScript. On a store, technical slowness is a direct loss of revenue. Improving it counts twice: for crawling (SEO) and for the purchase rate (CRO).
Markets and migrations
Several countries or languages: currencies, diverging catalogues. During a platform change, a rigorous plan protects years of sales. We run those migrations step by step.
Measurement by category and by margin
Total organic traffic says little. We track organic sales by category and by gross margin. That figure decides the next work stream.
By platform
A Shopify catalogue and an enterprise platform call for different experts
Each has a known structural flaw that costs leads or sales.
Shopify and Shopify Plus
The structural problem: a product filed in three collections exists at four addresses. Google's crawl budget (SEO) is wasted instead of being concentrated on what converts.
What we do: we consolidate the internal links, close the variants that are useless to crawling and clean up the architecture to protect your margins.
The theme's limit on metadata can be worked around technically.
Enterprise platform
The structural problem: the freedom of configuration. Attributes and category trees generate hundreds of thousands of near-empty addresses that Google crawls at the expense of your profitable products.
What we do: we decide what deserves an indexable sales page and what stays a filter, close the crawling waste and secure speed.
On those catalogues, speed and revenue are often fixed in the same place. The six causes of slowness.
How long before your sales move
Producing and optimizing the catalogue can be done in a few weeks. The results, though, follow the pace of the search engines. Google has to crawl the new pages, reassess them and decide where to rank them. Some improvements can show quickly, but the significant gains on a large catalogue generally build over several months.
- Your catalogue is optimized in a few weeks. Product pages, collections, structured data, internal links and technical elements are handled quickly, thanks to AI and to our human validation process.
- The first gains can show within weeks to months. Pages that already have some visibility can move faster. New pages and more competitive categories generally take more time.
- The catalogue's full potential is measured over several months. The larger your catalogue, the more the optimization work compounds: more relevant pages, more queries covered and more chances to capture qualified demand.
If the brake is the platform itself, or your acquisition costs, the work starts elsewhere.
Definitions
What is eCommerce SEO?
eCommerce SEO is the technical and strategic optimization applied to an online sales catalogue to generate sales. It differs from classic SEO by its scale: we work thousands of generated pages whose quality directly dictates gross margin, rather than publishing simple blog posts.
What do GEO and AEO mean for your sales?
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) aims to be cited in AI answers to capture buyers at the decision stage. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) aims at Google's direct answers. Both rest on rigorously structured data (facts, prices, delivery times) so that ChatGPT recommends your product rather than a competitor's.
What is faceted navigation?
Faceted navigation is a store's filter system (size, price). Every combination generates an address. Supervised by senior experts, it becomes a sales lever. Left to itself, it creates waste that dilutes your site's authority and costs SEO sales.

What an eCommerce SEO engagement costs
A large catalogue means hundreds or thousands of pages to analyze, optimize and track. The cost therefore depends mainly on its size, its level of complexity and the number of pages that need custom work. Our approach covers the whole catalogue without applying the same level of intervention to every product.

Frequently asked questions
Where does an eCommerce SEO engagement start, to be profitable?+
With the categories that carry your biggest gross margin, always. We optimize the collections and the product pages of those categories first, because that is where our expertise turns into sales the fastest. The technical clean-up happens in parallel to unblock Google.
Do we need unique content on every product page?+
Yes. Every page has to bring useful information, distinct enough to answer the customer's search. For the strategic products, we work the content individually to maximize both organic search and conversion. For the thousands of other pages, AI lets us create unique content from your product data, then every batch is checked by a senior expert. You avoid the descriptions copied from the manufacturer and give every product a real reason to be in the search results.
Does GEO replace SEO for acquiring customers?+
No. SEO stays the base. For an AI like ChatGPT to recommend you as a reliable supplier, your catalogue first has to be perfectly readable and indexed. Google still sends far more buying traffic. We build one on the other.
Should we block all faceted filters?+
No, and that is the mistake that costs sales. Some combinations are heavily searched by your buyers and deserve an optimized landing page. The decision is made facet by facet, with your margin data in hand.
How long before we see an effect on revenue?+
The catalogue can be reworked in a few weeks, but sales do not follow immediately. The first changes can show quickly on some pages, while the larger gains build over the months, as Google recrawls the pages, adjusts their ranking and your visibility grows. We track rankings, organic traffic, conversions and revenue to measure the real impact of the work.
Do your experts work with our developers?+
Yes. On Shopify, we often work directly in the theme. On complex B2B platforms, we hand precise specifications to your team and check every line before deployment.
